Abstract

The limited indigenous production capability of medical equipment necessitates that the Indian healthcare industry recognise the repercussions of importing them. There are advantages and disadvantages to the system from the rise of these devices. In order to manage these effects, comprehensive laws and regulations are essential. Costs associated with import tariffs, shipping, and currency exchange rates rise when medical equipment is purchased overseas. This is partly due to the need for high-quality services, the rise in healthcare spending, and technological improvements. The rapid advancement of technology may present difficulties in terms of infrastructure adaptation and educating healthcare workers.
