Abstract

Racism and nepotism can negatively impact nation building by creating divisions and inequalities within a society. Racism can lead to discrimination and marginalization of certain groups, which can lead to social unrest and a lack of trust in government institutions. Nepotism, where individuals are favored based on their connections rather than their qualifications, can lead to corruption and a lack of accountability, which can also undermine trust in government institutions. Both racism and nepotism can also prevent the most qualified and capable individuals from rising to leadership positions, which can impede a nation's ability to develop and progress.
