As the country continues to recover from the effects of the Great Recession, community leaders interested in large-scale social change are seeking innovative approaches by which to effectuate such change against the reality of shrunken public sector resources, the limitations of judicial remedies, and the political nature of public policy. Today, cross-sector coalitions are collaborating to address the most persistent and pernicious societal ills in communities across the United States.
