Abstract
The use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in teaching the disabled children is relatively a new phenomenon. The present study focused on integrating Information and Communication Technology as an integral delivery tool for children with autism for a productive life in the society. ICT tool was developed and subjected to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders(ASD) of the age group of 5 to 18. In order to validate the developed ICT enabled curriculum pre-post study design was adopted. Experimental group and control group consisted of 10 children with autism. During the study both the groups were subjected to Vineland Social Maturity Scale(VSMS) Pre and Post of attending ICT enabled curriculum. The experimental group underwent the two months ICT enabled curriculum. The participation index score were measured based on the attendance of the child to the programme at INSIGHT, the Centre for differently abled. Comparison of the scores of experimental and control group resulted to show that there is remarkable significant difference in Social maturity of children with ASD. Hence it can be concluded that implementing ICT curriculum in inclusive education is inevitable for the development of children with autism spectrum disorders
