Abstract

Abstract In the setting of the health emergency related to the COVID-19 pandemic, oncological societies edited guidelines to focus on breast cancer management at the expense of breast reconstruction (BR). We report the results of a national survey on variations of breast reconstruction practices during the COVID-19 pandemic in France. More than 70% of surgeons relied on local multidisciplinary validation meetings to discuss intra-hospital constraints and the risk-benefit balance for each BR patient. Multidisciplinary validation appeared to be the most pertinent strategy to face the evolving nature of the pandemic.
