Abstract

Teaching is an important and integral part of the process of education. It is a social process. It is a tripolar process which includes teacher, student and the curriculum. Teaching is the process of exchange of ideas or mutual interaction between the teacher and the learner by making the curriculum as a medium. It is fundamentally a process which includes planning, implementation, evaluation and revision. Phases of teaching process includes the pre active phase, inter active phase and after active phase. A study of the teaching process is important because it impacts the learning outcomes. This present study reflects the actual status of teaching process in primary schools of Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand and studies its impact on the academic achievement of primary school students.
