Abstract
Background and Aims: SIRT6 and SIRT7 have been implicated in the repression of inflammation, oxidative stress, and aging. Polymorphisms in SIRT6 and SIRT7 may be important for increasing carotid plaque burden and promoting atherosclerosis. The aim of this study was to investigate the association of SIRT6 and SIRT7 genetic polymorphisms with risk of early-onset ischemic stroke in Taiwan.
