Abstract

In this paper BER (Bit error rate) analysis of wireless cooperative schemes have been done under different fading channels to estimate the error performance of the cooperative schemes. Significance of cooperation is to improve transmission quality. We have simulated two cooperative schemes, Amplify and forward (AF) and Decode and forward (DF) and calculated BER for these schemes for the Rayleigh channel and Rician channels. Three techniques DT, DF and AF have been compared under different channel environment. Signal to noise ratio (SNR) has been used to estimate channel performance. Further analysis has been done for theoretical and practical BER for AF and DF under both channels. we have analyzed DF performs better than AF and DT by simulated results.
