Abstract

AbstractThis paper presents the outcome of the investigation on the flow of copper-water nanofluid squeezed between two moving parallel plates filled with a Darcy porous medium in existence of a magnetic field using Differential Transformation Method (DTM)—a semi-analytical method. In the current study, the consequence of radiation parameter and the use of porous medium are considered in addition to the usual parameters and these aspects have not been studied by earlier investigators. Effects of parameters, viz., squeeze number, Eckert number, radiation parameter, Hartmann number, Darcy number, and Biot number on velocity and temperature profiles are presented and analyzed with graphs and tables. From this investigation, it is perceived that by enhancing Biot number, radiation parameter, and Darcy number, the temperature distribution reached a greater level. The results obtained are compared with the findings of earlier investigators.KeywordsSqueezing flowRadiationNanofluidDarcy numberBiot numberDifferential Transformation Method
