Impact of pre-transplant T cell depletion combined with tacrolimus monotherapy on the immune responses in lung transplant recipients

Abstract

Aims: A new protocol consisting of pre-transplant recipient T cell depletion (Thymoglobulin) and tacrolimus (TAC) with trough target of 10-15 ng/ml was initiated for cadaveric lung transplantation (LTx). The aim of this study was to evaluate the humoral and cellular immune responses of 28 consecutive LTx recipients enrolled in this protocol with a minimum follow-up of 3 months to one year.
