Abstract

Abstract Aim and Objectives: Education is requisite for humankind. In the COVID pandemic, as humanity was endangered, education was devalued. Neglecting education for a long period would have caused a great loss of students. Hence, the online teaching approach was initiated to maintain continuity in education. In the present study, the impact of online teaching was studied on dental students during the COVID pandemic. Materials and Methods: Students of Bachelor of Dental Surgery of all four academic years were evaluated by their annual attendance and their summative examination results (in percentage) during online teaching. Conclusion: We concluded that the attendance and results of students could be correlated during online teaching. Online teaching was an effective substitute during the COVID pandemic.
