Abstract

The paper deals with the matters of motorization of cities. Global and Russian experience in the use of electric buses is described. The results of an experimental study are presented, addressing the operation of an extra-large low-floor city bus LiAZ-6274.00 with electric motor ZF AVE13 at air temperatures from –20 to +26°C, traveling along a city route in Tyumen. It was established that electric energy consumption depends on the air conditioner and the battery heating system to a greater extent and air temperature to a lesser extent. In the studied range, energy consumption varies from 87 to 126.7 kW*h per 100 km. In the prices of Q1 2021, the expenses for electric energy amount to 183.6–267.4 RUB per 100 km. The results of this study make it possible to plan the expenses and consumption of electric energy by electric buses in various temperature conditions.
