Abstract

Parental stress can spill over and affect children. The additional stress of caring for children can, at times, make parents feel angry, anxious, or just plain stressed out. These tensions are a normal, inevitable part of family life, and parents need to learn ways to cope so that they don't feel overwhelmed by them. If not their stress can have an impact on their children too...Hence it will be interesting to know whether there is any relationship with the stress of children and adults particularly that of parents and teachers. The present research study was carried out with an objective to understand the influence of maternal stress on the stress level of school children. The results revealed that the stress of children increases with the increase in the stress of their mothers indicating a direct positive relationship.
