Abstract

Background and Aims: Urgent administration of intravenous tissue plasminogen activator (IV tPA) for acute ischemic stroke is associated with better clinical outcomes. The implementation of Stroke code (SC) in hospitals can improve the rate of thrombolysis and reduce the door to needle time . Our objective was to evaluate the impact of implementation of a SC in Emergency department (ED)on reducing the door-to-needle time. .
