Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine the predictors of perceived quality of work life (QWL) by accentuating on human resource interventions in healthcare units. The study uses a structured questionnaire to collect data from 158 employees in the healthcare units of India. Data is analysed with tools like factor analysis and multiple regression analysis, using SPSS statistical software. The 20 items in the study describe five factors, namely compensation and rewards, managing grievances, conditions of work, employee welfare, and job security. The results reveal that the five HR interventions have a significant relationship with the degree of QWL of healthcare employees. This work provides a pragmatic view of the set of human resource interventions that are pivotal for better QWL of employees in healthcare organisations. The research also offers insights for healthcare managers, administrators, and practitioners for implementing these interventions.
