Abstract

We investigated the Lakshmanan–Porsezian–Daniel (LPD) model in its coupled shape which describes the propagation of the ultra-short wave in the birefringent optical fiber. We disrupt the plane wave to study the stability of the wave in this media. In continuation, we present the effects of different physical phenomena on the modulational instability (MI). These are inter-modal scattering effect, the Kerr law nonlinearity effect, the input power, the Group Velocity Dispersion (GVD) and others nonlinear phenomena. All these different phenomena separately present perfect symmetric within the modulational instability gain regions. This is evidenced in normal as well as in anomalous dispersion regime.
