Abstract

LVEF is lower measured by gated SPECT than by first-pass in men, consistent with the differences in temporal resolution between the techniques. In contrast, in women, gated SPECT LVEF was modestly but significantly higher. The reason for this observed difference is unclear, but it is independent of age, body size, heart rate, infarct size, or ventricular volumes, and could be related to other anatomic factors.
