Abstract

The paper deals with the evaluation of the image noise adding impact to detected corner points positions. These coordinates of corner points were localized using subpixel detection approach. The idea was to systematically add the Gaussian noise into synthetic chessboard image and to observe the relations between the amount of noise and variance of detected positions of points. Also, the influence of initial image smoothing on mentioned considered quantities was taken into account. All the obtained results were analyzed and shown in corresponding graphs.
