Abstract

Research results of hydro-cycloning of flocculated and non-flocculated flotation tailing from the lead and zinc open pit mine 'Suplja stijena', Sula - Montenegro have been shown in this paper. Reason for this research was finding conditions in order to separate fraction that is suitable for embankment erection. Flotation tailings has been tested in the very state that it goes out from the flotation process and tailings which is flocculated by anionic flocculant. The object was to determine the impact of flocculation on properties of hydro-cycloning products and disposal process. In hydro-cycloning process greater underflow mass is being separated with non-flocculated tailing. Values of geomechanical parameters are significantly different, especially hydro-cyclone's underflow. All geomechanical parameters of hydro-cyclone's underflow are suitable for erecting embankment which shall be made from non-flocculated tailing. Underflow drainage of non-flocculated tailing is faster while overflow drainage is slower and problematic with both tailings.

OSNOVNE KARAKTERISTIKE ULAZNE FLOTACIJSKE JALOVINE

Granulometrijski sastav flotacijske jalovine je posledica procesa usitnjavanja i uslovljen je otvaranjem mineralne sirovine radi njene koncentracije, tabela 1. Rezultati mineraloške analize pokazuju da su osnovni minerali flotacijske jalovine kvarc, feldspati, minerali glina, liskuni, karbonati, opaki minerali, cirkon i apatit. Nasipna i zapreminska gustina flokulisane jalovine je veća, ali je hidraulička zbijenost manja. Posebno je izražena razlika u brzini taloženja jer je brzina taloženja prethodno flokulisane jalovine gotovo dvostruko veća od brzine taloženja neflokulisane jalovine. Poređenjem geomehaničkih parametara uočava se da je ugao unutrašenjeg trenja neflokulisane jalovine značajno veći nego kada je jalovina flokulisana. Vodopropustljivost flokulisane jalovine je za red veličine (10 puta) veća nego neflokulisane dok je koeficijent poroznosti neznatno veći kod flokulisane jalovine. Dobijeni rezultati u pogledu osnovnih fizičkih i geomehaničkih karakteristika flokulisane i neflokulisane jalovine pokazuju njihovu sličnost i, s obzirom na rasipanje rezultata, ne dozvoljavaju zaključivanje u kojem obliku je bolje deponovati jalovinu
