Abstract

Electric heating is an important way of power energy alternative which can contributes to the achievement of the peak carbon dioxide emissions and carbon neutrality. It has several advantages such as equipment investment saving, controllability of temperature in the room, less direct air pollution. In recent years, electric heating equipments are used in some Northern China cites in large scale, for its great contribution to the energy saving, emission reduction and qualified heating to citizens. The widespread application of electric heating technology will impose a greater impact on wind power accommodation, the planning, construction, and operation of grid, and contribute to optimization of grid operation. This article first introduces the classification of electric heating technology, summarizes its application, and studies its impact on the power grid from multiple perspectives.
