Abstract

Rhodanese activity as well as the concentrations of free sulfuric amino acids in soil under continuous rye cropping and crop rotation were studied. Experiments were carried out in different phenological periods of plants. In soil under continuous rye cropping, higher concentrations of free sulfuric amino acid and higher values of rhodanese activity were found than in soil under crop rotation. Analysis of the correlation between the amount of sulfuric amino acid and rhodanese activity showed that the enzyme was more efficient in soils under crop rotation than in soils under continuous rye cropping.
