Abstract

AbstractHealth is one of the important indicators of the development of the nation. This study focusses on the impact of COVID-19 on the health of the elderly population. The study was carried in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India and survey questionnaire was administered to two set of people one set having high blood glucose level and another set having both high thyroid and blood glucose level. The findings of the study showed that 70.5% male population and 61.5% -female population have lost their lives due to a complication of blood glucose levels with COVID 19 infection. In another set of people having both thyroid and blood level complication, it was found that 70.9% male and 62.1% female population have lost their lives due to COVID -19 infection. The result clearly shows that thyroid is not a major concern as far as death related to COVID -19 infection is concerned.KeywordsCOVID-19HealthElder populationBlood glucose level and thyroid
