Abstract

Covid-19, one of the major catastrophes of this century, also known as the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2,) struck the world and created havoc with its rapid spread. Started as a mere local transmission from the city of Wuhan, China in 2019 and spread throughout the world. The present study is solely based on secondary data and is conceptual in nature. This paper aims to understand various aspects of the economic challenges facing the Indian healthcare system and possible measures undertaken to overcome the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in India. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the short-term and potential long-term effects of this pandemic on the Indian healthcare sector. The whole India was surprised and countries did not have time to carefully prepare to fight this pandemic. This study provided a comprehensive analysis of the outbreak of Covid-19 in India and its impact on the healthcare sector the epicenter of the challenge.
