Abstract

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has a profound effect on medical practices nationwide, with early recommendations from the American College of Surgeons in March 2020 suggesting an evaluation of all planned elective surgical procedures and limitations of practice to preserve hospital resources and be utilization. Since that time, the country has begun to adjust to the pandemic allowing a return to “normal” practice, yet still in the setting of a profound number of COVID-19 cases and limitations.
