Abstract

How Human Resource Management Practices affect organizational performance has been pointed out by various Strategic human resource management researches and it has also been connected with resource based view but still has not been experimented with. It is supposed that competitive advantage with RBV is key to organizational performance. The role of competitive advantage in the enhancement of human capital or staff is evident by latest experiential denotations (Newbert, 2008). There is need for study to testify the direct relationship of human capital as competitive advantage and performance as it is still to be tested.This research was done carried out in banking sector in one District of Pakistan where collective human capital as competitive advantage and its impact on organizational performance was studied. Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs) of employees give competitive advantage to organization and overall performance is linked to it.Following the literature review, model to depict relation of Competitive advantage and performance was developed.
