Abstract
Senegal (country of West Africa) has a high potential to produce neem fruit. According to the literature production exceeds 500,000 tons per year, but so far this resource is still under use in this country. People are always use synthetic pesticides that have an negative impact on the human health and have finished showing their limits counters pests of agricultural production. Sampling, based on the collection of neem fruits of four regions of Senegal, has allowed use to determine Azadirachtin–A (Aza–A) contents in neem seeds. A comparative analysis between the Aza–A contents and climatic factors (mean annual temperature, rainfall, soil type) allowed use to detect the Aza–A content is related to rainfall recorded in the region. However regions with annual rainfall exceeding 350 mm have a content of 0.5%. This study allowed use to make a good mapping content in Aza–A in neem seeds in four regions of Senegal, namely: Dakar, Thies (Tivaoune), Diourbel (Touba) and Louga (Ndande). This study will allow proper orientation of future collections for industrial production of technical azadirachtin as part of biological control against pests.
