Abstract

In this paper, we present the effective throughput performance evaluation of high-rate 9/8 space-time block-coded (STBC) system working under time-nonselective Rayleigh flat-fading channel, in the presence of channel estimation errors. The STBC data-rate 9/8 with four-transmitter antennas is attained by using the selective power scaling in combination with QPSK modulation technique. The main focus is on the impact of carrier frequency offsets on the effective throughput of presented STBC system. Simulation outcomes are presented to illustrate that the proposed high-rate 9/8 STBC system performs well under the high signal-to-noise-ratio conditions only, while using imperfect channel state information in decoding.
