Impact of abusive supervision of head nurse on nurse’ perceived of insider status

Abstract

Objective To explain the impact of abusive supervision of head nurse on nurse ’ perceived of insider status .Methods The abusive supervision scale and perceived of insider status scale was used to collect data.The Correlation analysis was performed using SPSS 17.0 and AMOS 17.0 software.Results The mean score of abusive supervision and perceived of insider status were （2.350 ±1.497） and （5.665 ±1.159）, respectively .There was a significant negative correlation between the abusive supervision and perceived of insider status （β=-0.35,P〈0.01）.According to the Pearson correlation analysis , there was a negative correlation between the abusive supervision and insider identity awareness （ r =-0.308, P 〈0.01 ）. Conclusions There was a phenomenon of nurse abuse in nursing practice , and the abusive supervision of head nurse has a negative impact on their perceived of insider status .
