Abstract

The use of blog as a learning media is very popular now. Based on preliminary research that conducted to measure the acceptance of the blog as a learning media in some teachers of vocational school in Malang using UTAUT obtained the result that the use of blog as a learning media quite successfully increase the motivation of teachers in teaching, but the factor social influence still has the lowest score than the other UTAUT's factors. Social Influence is the factor of Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) which is defined as an individual feels the importance that the others believe he or she should use the new system. Social influence becomes the biggest supporting factor in the use of new system by a person because it is influenced by encouragement of the people and situation around him. This study will used descriptive analysis to find the relation of social situation around the teacher to the low score of social influence factor. This research found out that low score of social influence factor correlated with impact of the score of close related person variable, the score of external assessment and the score of self-confidence that all of these score have a low score among the other variables. This research have a purpose to discover a real impact of social influence factor for driving teaching motivation to the teacher.
