Abstract
The technique of immunosedimentation, a gel plate immunoprecipitation of antigens separated by centrifugation in sucrose gradients, was utilized for the analyses of some pathological human serum samples. Characteristic protein patterns were obtained with myeloma, macroglobulinemia and suggestive patterns with viral hepatitis, rheumatoid arthritis, and others. A comparison of this technique with regular immunoelectrophoretic plates was made. The results and method are briefly discussed.
