Abstract

Neonatal injections of 10,000 gamma of Echinococcus granulosus cyst fluid protein or Taenia hydatigena cysticercus fluid protein induced immunological unresponsive states (tolerance) to these antigens in Wistar albino rats. Unresponsiveness to the two helminth fluids was reciprocal, specific, and of finite duration. The tolerant states could be terminated by injections of the tolerance inducing antigens in Freund's complete adjuvant.
