Abstract
The immunological phenomena associated with pregnancy continue to intrigue and, at a recent meeting on the immunology of reproduction, several themes emerged. MHC expression by the trophoblast, maternal cell-mediated immune effector mechanisms and cytokine production at the feto-maternal interface were among the topics discussed.
