Abstract

Couples desiring pregnancy expect success immediately even though the ability to conceive is only 20% per cycle (1). The inability to conceive is a frustrating experience for these couples, especially in the absence of an identifiable cause. Pregnancy success rates for these individuals after in vitro fertilization (IVF) and embryo transfer (ET) approach natural fecundity, offering many otherwise infertile couples the ability to become parents.
