Abstract
Ameloblastoma is a rare locally invasive epithelial odontogenic tumor in animals. An eight year old bullock had a pedunculated mass attached to the lower gum on left side, causing difficulty in prehension and mastication. The tumor was fast growing, locally invasive and destructive. The growth was removed by performing radical surgery. The surface of tumor was erythematous and ulcerated. Histologically, tumor showed discrete islands of tall, columnar, pallisading basal cells with apical nuclei (reverse polarization), characteristics of ameloblastoma. Immunohistochemical evaluation revealed positive labelling for cytokeratin (CK) 8, CK18 and vimentin.
