G A A b st ra ct s mucosal receptors (p<0.01, n=9) to mechanical stimulation. This inhibitory effect of N-PLA was blocked by the non-selective HCN channel blocker ivabradine (3μM). Conclusion: NO has a substantial effect on the mechanosensitivity of gastroesophageal vagal afferents which can be dramatically altered by even short term changes in food intake.
