Abstract
Recruiting immune cells (green) to subcutaneously-implanted hierarchical macroporous and mesoporous silica scaffold is described by Jaeyun Kim and co-workers in article number 1601160. The magnification of scaffold indicates that the scaffold is composed of mesoporous silica microparticles, which is releasing pro-inflammatory signals (red dot) to recruit host immune cells.
