Abstract

The use of immobilized pH gradients for two-dimensional electrophoresis overcomes several of the limitations of carrier ampholyte-based isoelectric focusing. Procedures followed in the authors' laboratory for the analytical or preparative use of immobilized pH gradients are presented.
