Abstract

Indefinite immittance matrices for a five-layer uniform distributed parameter R2-C21-R1-C10-G∞ network are evaluated, taking into account the effects of parasitic capacitance existing among the constituent layers. Immittance matrices are considered to be indispensable for a comparative study of the various network functions associated with all the subnetworks to be yielded by a multilayer distributed parameter network. As such, the presentation of the immittance matrices for this structure is intended to serve as the basis for the systematic evaluation of all network characteristics of a multiterminal device under different electrical conditions to be imposed on its external terminals.
