Abstract

A study of a public art project titled Arte Reembolso/Art Rebate , created by Elizabeth Sisco, Louis Hock and David Avalos in the late 20th century, in San Diego, California. The project was commissioned as part of a larger La Frontera/The Border exhibition, funded by an NEA grant. The article describes the components of the artwork, including meetings organized by the artists, reactions and controversy.
