Abstract
Ameloblastoma is an odontogenic tumor that commonly affects the posterior region of the mandible and is frequently associated with an unerupted tooth. Woman, 67, complained of a hard swelling in the right mandibular premolar region that appeared after tooth extraction and placement of an immediate denture. Intraoral examination showed buccal and lingual cortical plate expansion. Occlusal and panoramic radiographs showed multilocular radiolucency with a well-defined margin. Fine needle aspiration was nonproductive.
