Abstract
The performance of a state feedback controller is imitated by using linguistic control rules, commonly used in fuzzy control. It is argued that a fuzzy logic controller when properly designed should be able to perform at least as good as a state feedback controller. A simulation-based comparison between the state feedback controller and the proposed fuzzy logic controller is performed. It is confirmed that, given a set of appropriate rules, a fuzzy logic controller can achieve a perform at least as good as a state feedback controller. >
