Abstract
AbstractHerein, the chemistry of imido (nitrene, respectively) complexes of the groups 9–11 is summarized. First, their electronic structure is discussed including d‐electron count, spin‐state, period and group of the periodic table, and symmetry of the complex. Then, the coordination chemistry and reactivity of both bridging and terminal imido complexes is reviewed in detail and put in the context of more abundant imido complexes such as in particular iron.
