Abstract

Two single-domain techniques for evaluating the output nonlinear distortion of active systems with multitone excitations are described as a means of circumventing the time-frequency transformations of standard harmonic balance methods. These two techniques are compared with respect to accuracy, computational efficiency, and flexibility for a band-pass active filter containing a saturation-type nonlinearity.
