Abstract

In recent years, several books have been published in Poland, which deal with the socio-political, cultural and moral situation, as well as aspects of the everyday life of the modern inhabitants of the Republic. An understudied aspect is the multicultural heritage of the Ottoman Empire and the ethno-cultural situation of the modern Turkish Republic. In the article, the author focuses on the analysis of selected works of Witold Szabłowski and Mircelina Szumer-Brysz, where the image of the migrant occupies a special place.
