Abstract
Following the success of previous IEEE International Workshops on Imaging Systems and Techniques (IST) in Italy, Canada, Poland and Greece, the 2009 IEEE International Workshop on Imaging Systems and Techniques (IST'2009) was held in Shenzhen, China, in collaboration with the Graduate School in Shenzhen of Tsinghua University. IST?2009 dealt with the design, development, evaluation and applications of imaging systems, instrumentation, and measuring techniques, aimed at enhancing the detection and image quality. It covered applications in aerospace, medicine, biology, molecular imaging, metrology, ladars, radars, and homeland security.
