Abstract

Surface Acoustic Wave Magnetic Field Sensors In article number 2200033, Jeffrey McCord and co-workers image the propagating shear wave behavior in magnetoelectric surface acoustic wave (SAW) sensor devices by time-resolved magnetooptical microscopy. The discovered complex spatial magnetoelastic interactions set limits on the sensor's noise performance, which need to be overcome for improved magnetoelectric magnetic field sensors with even lower limit of field detection.
