Abstract

In the past decades, the imaging method for ISAR (Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar) with LFM (Linear Frequency Modulation) pulsed signal has been studied extensively. Now, owing to the requirement of low-cost, low weight and low powered, linear frequency modulation continuous wave (LFMCW) signal is used in ISAR. But the imaging algorithm for LFMCW ISAR is still the Range-Doppler algorithm (RDA) which is very effective for pulsed ISAR. Simulations showed that applying RDA to LFMCW ISAR will let to some distortion. In order to correct this distortion, a novel imaging method—azimuth interpolation RDA (AIRDA)—is presented.
