Abstract

With recent advances in imaging technology, we now have the ability to detect, measure and test mechanisms that are critical for the formation of the early cardiovascular system. I will summarize how we are using 3D and 4D imaging technology together with genetics, to define the mechanisms that underlie mutants phenotypes using the mouse as a model system. In depth studies of single gene models as well as systematic approaches to annotate phenotypes in mouse mutants from large scale screens will be discussed.
