Abstract

The study of the imaging capabilities of the bismuth substituted iron garnet films with low growth-induced uniaxial anisotropy is reported. The dependence of the film properties and imaging sensitivity on the lattice mismatch and film thickness is discussed. A simulation of the dependence of the magnetic free energy density on the magnetization orientation is performed in order to study the local energy minima and draw conclusions about the film sensitivity to different lattice mismatch parameters.
