Abstract

In this paper, we consider the inverse acoustic scattering problem of determining a two-layered inhomogeneous medium with a conductive transmission condition from far-field measurements. The well-posedness of the direct problem can be established by applying a variational method. For the inverse problem, we shall develop a modified factorization method for recovering the shape and location of the two-layered conductive medium. Finally, we provide some numerical experiments to demonstrate the practicability of the inversion algorithms.
